Rich Hill is a well-established Kansas City pianist, vocalist and trombonist, and bandleader whose blues-tinged renditions of American Popular Song are much in demand. Rich came up playing with many of Kansas City’s legendary jazz musicians including Carmell Jones, Buddy Anderson, Ida McBeth and Eddie Saunders. As a solo act he has shared billing with Frank Zappa and Harry Connick, Jr. Rich holds a Master’s degree in music from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, where he teaches in the Academy of Music and Dance.
Rod Fleeman is one of KC’s best-known jazz guitarists. He has toured with notable artists such as Marilyn Maye, Karrin Allyson, Jay McShann and Claude “Fiddler” Williams. In addition to performing, Rod teaches guitar at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance.
